Is it because your whole life you have had people telling you that God, the all powerful, merciful God will punish you and condemn you to eternal suffering in the hands of The Devil.

Maybe a round about way of looking at it but lets put it this way - If you believe in God then you have to believe in the devil (Satan, Beelzebub etc.) Therefore if you believe in God and you do all things that are good and right in life, and it turns out that there actually is a God, then you'll have earned your place in Heaven. On the other hand, if you believe in God and do all things in life that are right and good but it turns out that there is no such thing as God, then you really aren't loosing out on anything, you can just rest assured that you have been a good, honest and clean living person. As for fearing the devil. The devil is very real. He's here and he's about us all, at all times. It depends upon your goals, aims and outlooks in life, for both you and your future generations as to whether you should fear him. But bear this in mind, he's in a position now where he should be feared.

what i dont get is if the devil is so bad and nasty then no matter what youve done would god not want you to go there if hes so kind, he'd let you off for been bad and say come on i know youve been bad but you can come into heaven you dont want to go to the devil, and every person that if it existed would be against god

its just made up like every religeon is to try and control large amounts of ppl ,

i always say to religeous ppl what if you was born in a different country that has a totaly different religeon then youd be that religeon and no no different meaning that whatever religeon you have it all just deppends where your born.

infact anyone who is religeous shows a lack of intelligence to actually who they are, wake up, humans minds are so easy to brainwash its unbelievable how stupid humans actually are.

I am not afraid of the devil. Satan has only enough power as one gives him. I don't give any so he doesn't control me. Although, he tempts me, I do not follow him. God gave us dominion over Satan and his demons; thus, I have authority over him. He doesn't control so therefore there is nothing or no one to fear.

By the way, not believing that the devil exists is allowing him to control you. That's what he wants us to think. He is the biggest deceiver and destroyer. Don't allow him to deceive you anymore.

The Devil is a psychic vampire, feeding on the life force of animals and humans. It has no life of its own.

i think of so. each time somebody prays, it shows Lucifer that there is yet somebody else, ideal there, that he has no carry over. each time somebody prays, it shows him that he will at last unfastened his conflict. Lucifer hates it, i'm particular, that a guy or woman is basically rubbing his nostril interior the undeniable fact that he won't win. it somewhat is why I pray so many times! =)

No, it's because the Devil has the power to keep me from spending eternity with God, and I am afraid that I might not be strong enough to resist his temptations.

I'm not afraid. He's a loser. He knows it. He already lost the battle and now he's just trying to do as much damage as he can to us humans. He only has the power we give him. He's pathetic. "Greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world."

I only fear what I have control over. My bad decisions and doing the right thing and possibly failing. I have no control over the devil and what he does. Why worry about that? I have my own problems.

Nope. God didn't give me a spirit of fear and He gives me power and dominion over the devil. Of course as long as I stay in his will.
