it happens, anything can cause it. something in your diet, the weather, your shampoo/conditioner, anything, what i suggest is trying a detoxifying shampoo once a week regardless if your hair looks greasy it helps take all the oils and stuff styling products, and shampoos/conditioners leave behind ( try nutrigeina detoxifying )

Okay it could be a few things. It could be that you left some shampoo or conditioner in your hair. Go over that spot and scrub like crazy. It could be that your shampoo is doing it, I use Pantene and it works wonders on my hair, it's a little more expensive than other store bought shampoos but works great and smells great too. Also you shouldn't wash your hair on a daily basis. I've had hairstylists tell me that in order for your hair to look and feel more healthy, it needs some of that oil that your hair/head produces so wash it every other day or every few days.

Have you been using a lot of styling product in your hair? Try using a deposit removal shampoo (Origins No Deposit) or putting lemon juice in your hair before shampooing. That should do the trick. But only do this once a week or once every two weeks - or your hair will get really dry.

Look at the ingredients on the bottle. Does it contain Silicone? if so scrap it.. go to your local drug store and read the labels... try something without Silicone, come back here and tell me, I bet you will see a big difference.
but do this first.. Rinse your hair with Vinegar, then shampoo without silicone's.
