Respect her dad's wishes, shows respect to her. It will go a long way towards strengthening your relationship. Looks you have to wait?
But, try this... Stop by and speak to the dad....tell him you'd like to spend some time with his daughter and that you understand his rules. Its old fashioned, yes, but it works.....It will ease the wait. Hey you may get invited to family outings...
Its a true man to man thing

Hello blade_trice,

First off, I think that that is a little extreme, not allowing your daughter to date until she gets out of high school. The Dad is either an idiot, or a tyrant, or both. Unfortunately, he's the head of the family and what he says goes.

The fact that you held onto her secretly says a lot for you as a dedicated boy friend. However, I personally don't like sneaking around with a girl. You need to have a little bit of respect for yourself. She says that she loves and respects her family, but she still sneaks around with you. It sounds like she wants it both ways, and you hiding in the woodpile.

I have been in that situation a few times and it never worked out very good. I would recommend you looking to other girls who can actually go out with you and you can have an actual relationship with her parents knowing you and you knowing them. Being open, honest, and above board is always the best. I'm sorry.

Best of luck to you.

Ok, listen up. If you two are serious about one another then start by having her clear it with her dad to have you over to her house when her parents are home. Do some homework together. Sit out on the front porch and talk. Start making an appearance more often while her dad is around to see you. Eventually, the two of you will talk and if your intentions are true, he will accept you for you and maybe allow his daughter to "date" you.

A man in love would never encourage his love to sneak around her family or break their rules. You either wait or move on, but you don't sneak around or try to get her to see you.

you both should confront her father. alone u will tremble, but together, ur love will become stronger than ur GF dad's will to prevent her from dating. u two can tell him that u both love eachother but that doesn't mean u have to date. u three can come to a comprimise
