For the 3rd answer, by Partner I mean Girlfriend. And anyways in Ontario Same sex couples are recognized as commonlaw anyways.

You might want to check with an attorney in your area. I know in my state, it doesn't matter how long you've lived together, even if you're considered Common Law, you still are not granted any benefits. You have to have a marriage certificate.

That's one reason people are pushing for gay marriage (for gay people....I'm not saying this is your situation. I'm just saying in general). It doesn't matter about their committment or how long they've been together, they can't get the benefits that a hetero married couple receives.

Sorry Ryan but I think it's pretty clear that no one knows the answer to your question. I won't even speculate because I honestly don't know. Your local Health Department or Division of Health Services should be able to tell you, if not then the actual insurance company should know.

I am pretty sure that is is 7 months.
You might want to look into though, because I have also heard that it is only 3 months
