the reason why i ask is even when i'm tying my nest not to be shy ppl always seem to figure it out. personally i hate it, i would much rather be the opposite.
is it harder to approch shy girls?

Yes because you don't know if they are interested in you. Shy guys and shy girls don't meet very often. Because they are shy.
You know, I have the same problem. I just can't "not be shy"
I can approach almost anybody now and talk to them. Even a pretty woman. But I'm not neccessarily interested in them. But at that point when I do become "interested", I just can't talk! Can't remember a joke, my name, or what I just said to her. Then the conversation stops. Lol, it's a sickness.

Just be yourself and don't worry how others think of you. There is no way you will ever please everyone or even one person all the time. Enjoy life and be happy with who you are. Mature males have no problem with, at least, meeting and talking with women, be they shy or bold. Remember the saying: always follow rule #6 ... which is "don't take yourself so seriously" and as far as the other rules ... there aren't any. Be happy. You deserve that.

Shyness to me means one of two things. Either they have a lot of virtuality and very high morals, or they have one big A55 closet full of skeletons that I do not want anything to do with. SO, it makes it very hard for a person like me, who looks for great qualities in a person, to get to know someone who is shy. I am somewhat backwards myself because I have high morals and believe in finding a partner who is right for me, and me them. So it is not necessarily a bad quality, but if you do find someone who might be interested in you and/or you them, you might want to try to figure a way to step a little way from your shyness and let that person know what you believe and how you feel. You just might find out they are a little shy themselves. I love a shy girl who possesses good qualities.

Nothing wrong with being shy, I'm sure your not when you start talking to a guy. Relax, you'll be fine. Remember there are also a lot of shy guys out there.

Shy girls can be harder to approach, because us guys are stupid and insecure. a girl might be shy, but we might read that as her being not interested, or concieted.

shy girls can be fun too. you just have to open up a little. If your so shy that you just sit there and never talk than yeah that can be boring
