i have suffered with this chronic pain now for 4 years and nobody seems to know what is causing it.. The pain i am experiencing feels like somebody is constantly digging their fingers under my ribs, it is always constant but the pain does alter in severity from day to day, and does not seem to be dependant on what i eat or drink. I have been tested for gallstones but these tests have given a negative result. I have been on several websites where there are other people suffering the same as me and some people have reccomended doing a liver flush... has anybody out there tried this

Tried going to your doctor? Sounds like a liver problem. I'm an RN and now I also practice Reiki. Might help if you want have natural therapy. Sometimes this type of pain can be due to accumulated misqualified/negative energies, i.e. long-term anger, etc.

I hope I don't sound like I'm lecturing you. From a medical point of view, if all your tests are normal, then natural therapies are quite supportive, most of the time effective.

Good luck.

Just because stones aren't there doens't mean it isn't your gallbladder. If that was the case, you would should have jaundice, yellowing of the skin due to excess bilirubin. The first source I have listed is of other possible gallbladder problems.

Second, it could be a herditary or heriditary problem of the liver or gallbladder. Do you know anyone in your family who suffered from pain? If not, have you asked around in your family? Maybe there is something there you weren't aware of. Maybe someone else had the same problem and never found out what it was? If so, possibly one of these problems.

Thirdly, and autoimune problem.

You should go to an internal speciallist, not just a general practioner for your problem. There are so many different possiblities out there. I would recommend a specialist from a hosipital with a lvl 4 trauma center, such as a university hosipital. These hospitals usually have the best doctors who keep up to date on everything since they are also teaching. They also have access to the best technology and medical break throughs. The last benefit to going to a university hospital would be the price, for they often take patients who can't afford to pay for the medical bills.

You can have "slush" in your gallbladder without the stones and it sounds like this is what is happening to you. It's very painful and excerbated by eating foods high in fat. The "liver/gallbladder flush" really does work! You will see the results in your toilet. But it's not a permanent fix. I would suggest you try it (couldn't hurt) and get another doctor. Have you been yo-yo dieting? This can cause alot of gallbladder problems. At any rate, here is the flush I used. Give it a try. And godblessya.

Check the gallbladder again..and get a third opinion..better to be safe than sorry...I had pain for years..no one could find out why....after I ate red gravy i put my fist under my right brest and writhed for 30 minutes in pain..one day I went to the hospital..told the er doc i was either having a heart attack or a gallbladder attack..they did the ekg and then an ultra sound..saw nothing..was sending me home...I grabbed the doctors arm and squeezed it hard..through tears I begged him..please help me..they got a surgeon in and took the gallbladder out the hard way..It was severly infected and the stone was stopped up in the duct..I could have died....and the "professionals" couldn't see it...please get another opinion.
