How long is too long to wait for a guy?

There's this guy that I have a crush on. We're friends but the thing is he becomes shy when he's around me. He'll only look at me while we're talking, when Im not looking. Like once I turn in his direction he turns the other way to make it seem like he wasnt looking. He shares his stuff with me, remember everything I said even if it were weeks ago. But how long is too long to wait on him to finally ask me out on a date. We just exchanged numbers last week...it took 3 months to finally get to that point! What should I do? Should I wait for him?

If it took you 3 months just to exchange numbers with him, then by all means be prepared to wait an eternity for him to ask you out. He seems very shy, so perhaps you should take the lead and ask him out, or at least give him hints as to how you feel. You have nothing to lose and remember nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you don't tell him how you feel, then you'll never know how it would have worked out.

If you really like him, then maybe YOU should make the move. If you keep waiting around on him, hell ya'll won't never get together. LOL. Seriously, you should make the first move and see where that takes you. If all else fails, at least gained a friend, even if he didn't become your boyfriend like you wanted him to. depends how long you've been with him- ifyopu've dated him for yyes- months of waiting is fine. IF you've dated him less than a yeat- only a couple of weeks depending how good the relationship you have with him is.
