Aribic Help?

Can anyone tell me what this says. I know i can choose a different translation on the web site, but i want someone that knows arabic tell me this is correct. Also, how am i supposed to read it, left to right or right to left? thanks

on #2, there are these funny looking arrows at the end (or beginning, im not sure) are they supposed to be there, what does it mean?

these are Arabic bible words, saying:
1-and the light shines the darkness,and the darkness can`t
reach the light.
2-so,there is no promise that god can`t fulfill.
you must read it from right to left,arrows in the end are some paragraph tools,have no relation with the words.
pronounce:-
1-walnooru yodhii` aldhalama,waldhalamu lam yudrik al noora..
2-falaisa lada allah waidun yastahilu alaihi itmamahu.

I think the arrows refer to that these sentences are part of a paragraph.
