I know that the Quran says that if it becomes altered to watch out for it, but it also says that you should consider the Bible as a scared book of the Law of God. So, who exactly made the determination that it is altogether corupt that it is to the point that it is bashed and disregarded altogether. Keep in mind that their is still original scripture that matches exactly with todays bible (the KJV). I will admit that some have tried to make changes in different versions, but I am talking about the original Christian Bible (KJV) and the Jewish Holy Book as well. Those two ARE still today, accurate.

The bottom line of Poki's post is "because someone said so". But that isn't true.

The oldest book on earth, a copy of Isaiah found with the dead sea scrolls, is essentially identical to what we have today. Through the dead sea scrolls we have again proven that the Bible that we have is reliable and accurate and consistent in it's message. There is no scholarly authority or archaeological evidence that proves otherwise. Nada.

Saying the Bible is corrupt is just the same old lie; "Yea, hath God said...?"

I am not Muslim, but you know there are even many Christians who admit that the Bible is a book that went through lots of changes over the thousands of years and there are even Christian theologists who do research about the editing of Bible over the millenia. The question here is also wn this regard, and about the different times in which it was edited. The question here is also what is original scripture, for example the orginal of the New Testament is written in Greek but Jesus didn't speak Greek and this was written down decades after he lived. Regarding the Muslims you should consider in this regard that they see Jesus as prophet, not Paul and the Evangelists.
There was one time in history when it was decided which should be the true Christian Bible and it was preserved since then, and this is considered as original, but before there were lots of possibilities of change.

Oh come on the KJV being correct! Give me a break. It was written back in the 16centuary for crying out loud, translated from Hebrew to English. Comminsioned by KJ himself are you telling me that there were no passages altered, no spelling/prining mistakes in all the copies issued? The true Christian bible would be written in Hebrew no English, get off you high and mighty Christain pedastol and actually do some research into the origins of the KJV before spouting utter drivel.

You are right. The bible has been altered, and we DO need to have the common sense to know what is God's law, and what is Peters law.
I know Jesus gave the church unto peter, but peter was a man, not GOD.

Thinking the Bible is corrupt is extreme. It has just been altered.
But honestly, God's law is louder in my heart than in a book. Don't get me wrong, it is still sacred.

Lectio Divina is Latin for “spiritual reading” and represents an early monastic technique of prayer which continues in practice though less widely, intended to achieve communion with God as well as providing special spiritual insights and peace from that experience. It is a way of praying with Scripture that calls one to study, ponder, listen and, finally, pray from God's Word.

History
Lectio Divina was first expressed in the year 220 AD. It was found that to read the Bible profitably it is necessary to do so with attention, consistency and prayer. The systematization of “spiritual reading” into four steps dates back to the 12th century. Around 1150, Guigo II, a Carthusian monk, wrote a book entitled “The Monk’s Ladder” (Scala Claustralium) wherein he set out the theory of the four rungs: reading, meditation, prayer and contemplation. In 2005, Pope Benedict XVI stated, “This is the ladder by which the monks ascend from earth to heaven.”

Method
Lectio is typically practiced daily for one continuous hour. A selection from the Holy Scriptures is chosen ahead of time, often as a daily progression through a particular book of the Bible.

Time
Selecting a time for lectio divina is important. Typical methods are to pray for one hour in the morning, or to divide it into two half-hour periods, one in the morning and one in the evening. The key is to pre-select the time that will be devoted to the prayer, and to keep it. Using the same time every day leads to a daily habit of prayer that becomes highly effective.

Place
The place for prayer is to be free from distractions. This means it should be isolated from other people, telephones, visual distractions, etc. Some find a religious icon to be helpful. The same place should be used for lectio if possible, especially as one first begins to practice it. Familiarity with a location reduces the possibility of distraction away from the prayer. Some practitioners conduct other devotions, such as praying before the Catholic Eucharist, as a preparation for Lectio Divina.

Preparation
Prior to reading, it is important to engage in a transitional activity that takes one from the normal state of mind to a more contemplative and prayerful state. A few moments of deep, regular breathing and a short prayer inviting the Holy Spirit to guide the prayer time helps to set the tone and improve the effectiveness of the lectio.

Once the stage is set it is time to begin the prayer. There are four phases of the prayer, which do not necessarily progress in an ordered fashion. One may move between different phases of the prayer very freely as the Spirit guides.

The Four Moments
Lectio
Read the passage several times.

Meditatio
Reflect on the text of the passage, thinking about how to apply to one's own life. Gravitate to any particular phrase or word that seems to be of particular import. This should not be confused with exegesis, but is a very personal reading of the Scripture and application to one's own life.

Oratio
Respond to the passage by opening the heart to God. This is not primarily an intellectual exercise, but more of the beginning of a conversation with God.

Contemplatio
Listen to God. This is a freeing oneself from one's own thoughts, both mundane and holy. It is about hearing God talk to us. Opening our mind, heart and soul to the influence of God. Any conversation must allow for both sides to communicate, and this most unfamiliar act is allowing oneself to be open to hearing God speak.

ok u r logic in thinking .i appreciate you ,but what if our god(together:muslims and non muslims)sent a perfect true version of the previous texts and adding to it more beautiful things .mind that god had by then asked the nuns not to go far away and exclude from their own people. He ,furthermore ,gave men oppotunity to marry more than one .we know all, that desire can be regenerated.once more, next marriage is done under permission of the first wife;this is not clear in bible!you know why?one reason is that is to avoid so much divorces ,and secret marriages or whatever;such as: the so called adultery. so take other examples and u would find that islam bring ease, relief, welfare for all people.even those christians underuled by muslim nation.thank you.

Through my knowledge, We Believe Paul of Tarsus had done...

The determination that the Bible is corrupted was God Almighty himself...

Even if it is accurate, yet how many bibles are there? how many translations of the Bible are there? How many words are still deleted by this day?

Because the Old Testament books of the Bible are essentially translations of the Hebrew Bible (or Tanach), the story of the Bible's construction and frequent reconstruction begins with that of the first 5 books of the Hebrew Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Also known as the Torah or the Pentateuch, these early books are fabled to have been written by Moses. According to legend, the first four were given by God himself in dictation, while the fifth was wholly authored by Moses.

Rabbinical scholars, studying the Jewish Torah and other texts point out that there is no actual written evidence for this folkloric belief, noting that only four passages are actually credited to Moses by scripture. Christian scholars reached this same conclusion in the 18th century, after extensive textual analysis revealed that while Moses may have contributed to early drafts of the Torah, he certainly could not have written the whole thing himself. To begin with, the final book of the Torah ends with an account of Moses' own death and burial, and is written in the third person. Clearly, this portion at least was added by someone else. As scholars continued their close textual examination, they discovered significant variations of style, language, and ideology throughout the 5 books. The degree and quality of the variations indicated that various authors, living at distinctly different time periods, had composed different portions of the Torah.

MosesSome variations might be explained by the fact that the Torah once existed in many different versions and editions. These were then copied and recopied over the centuries, until they were gathered up by Jewish scribes and cobbled into a single, reasonably consistent text. However, Bible/Torah scholars maintain that this fact, on its own, does not sufficiently explain the anomalies, unless of course what had existed prior to this process was not the Torah as such (i.e. not just different versions of the Torah), but an assortment of other religious texts, edited together to form a single narrative. The resulant work, repackaged as the Torah, was then passed along to later generations and mythologized as having always been a single narrative, told by one single man -- Moses. This mythology (that the Bible was created as a whole, direct from the mouth of God) would later be inherited by Christians, who would use this mythology to justify the torture and execution of anyone who dared question it's contents or construction, an approach epitomized by the Inquisition.

The evidence thus far suggests that the Torah was the collective work of four or five authors and that in all probability it was edited and altered by yet more individuals over the course of time. It is useful to note here that religious scholars place the time of Moses at 3300 to 3450 years before the present. Perhaps, as some conservative religious scholars assert, all this editing and redacting was divinely guided. Perhaps the entire three and a half thousand year process of editing, deleting, and revising was done wholly according to some divine will, and human bias and ambition never entered into it (although this implies that earlier drafts of the Bible were wrong, so how do we know if anyone's gotten it right yet?). And perhaps no part of the text was ever lost due to accident or decay prior to being edited into the final form of the Torah.

Ultimately, we can only wonder. No records survive to tell us what really happened. We know that changes occurred, but no one leaves a memo revealing why. However, if we were to infer from modern experience, such as the changes and revisions that affect state laws and the U.S. Constitution (cf. Sodomy and the Supreme Court), or even from historical changes made to Christian scriptures for political reasons, then we would tend to conclude that in ancient times, as in more recent centuries, spiritual doctrines were frequently altered or even suppressed to suit the political needs and personal beliefs of those in power.

Meanwhile, we certainly do know that the Tanach/Hebrew Bible continued to undergo additions and revisions over time. Additional books (Prophets, Writings) were added, with changes or redactions made here and there to the wording of these texts, possibly to bring scripture into alignment with the moral and political climate of the day.

Torah fragment, includes later convention of spaces and vowels. Eventually, between 300 and 100 BC, under the Roman Empire and Roman Law, Jewish cultural and national identity was crumbling. If the Jews were to continue as a people, and if they were to keep the covenants made with God through Abraham and Moses despite being scattered and increasingly influenced by gentiles, they would need ready access to the scriptures.

But simply copying and distributing more volumes would not be enough. Hebrew was fast becoming the dead language of scholars. The majority of Jews now spoke a dialect of Greek. Greek was also the written language of commerce, personal correspondence, and other mudane tasks. Thus if more Jews were to have access to scripture -- whether through reading it or through having it read to them -- the Tanach would have to be translated into Greek. The resultant translation was called the Septuagint, a name which refers to the seventy scholars who, according to legend, were locked in different rooms and all eventually emerged with the same translation. (Historians claim the Septuagint was more likely the product of a series of translations over time.)

Exodus, in Greek. 4th century A.D.The translation of the scriptures into Greek proved to be an important turning point in the development of the Christian Bible, as we shall see. But before we contemplate such developments, it's important that we make note of two very important but often overlooked facts about the Hebrew language edition of the Hebrew Bible/Tanach, each having to do with the manner in which it was transcribed.

First, prior to the 6th century A.D., the written Tanach consisted primarily of consonants. To be able to actually translate the written text into understandable and meaningful words, one would have to receive special instruction by a teacher or rabbi. Knowledge of this correct interpretation or reading was passed down orally from teachers to students over the generations. Second, as if to further confuse matters, words were written without spaces in between. Thus knowledge of where one word ended and another began was, as with vowel sounds, dependent on the oral tradition.

The significance of these practices is that they opened the door to error and gross mistranslation. This would prove to be a serious problem in the Christian era, as those who had never received such training attempted to decipher the meaning of Hebrew language texts. However, since the discovery of "Old Testament" texts among the so-called Dead Sea Scrolls of Qumran, historians now know that dissent and discrepancies had been creeping into interpretation/transliteration of the scriptures for centuries. Simply put, transcribing the words without vowels or word breaks allowed different people to read different meanings into the text.

Hi,

I looked for you for the discussion between the muslim scholar Ahmed Deedat and the famous American clerick Jimmy Swagert.

PS : if you contact me I will send you the book in PDF format:

M : Mr Ahmed Deedat
C: Mr Jimmy Swagert

M. Okay. Are you sure that the Bible is God’s word?
C. Yes, I am very sure it is God’s Word.
M. Read what Luke said about his recording in 1: 2 & 3.
C. “Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word. It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus.”
M. Ponder carefully. Luke says here that he himself was not an eyewitness. The knowledge he gathered was from eyewitnesses and not as words inspired by God. How can the Bible be God’s word from hearsay?
C. Maybe only this part is not God’s word.
M. History has shown that the Bible suffered changes throughout the ages. As I stated before, from 1538 up to the 1970’s it has undergone dozens of changes and there are dozens of versions of the Bible. You know that there cannot be different versions of God’s word. The last two major changes made to the Revised Standard Version were in 1952 and 1971. The New American Standard Bible and the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures have expunged certain verses compared with the King James Version. Reader’s Digest has reduced the Old Testament by fifty percent and the New Testament condensed by about twenty-five percent. Some years ago Christian theologians wanted to “desex” the Bible. Some Christian Theologians claim: “It is human as well as divine.” This is a clear contradiction as it cannot be both! From the above facts it is clear that the Bible is “Human” and not “Divine”. Does “holy” to you mean that the Bible is free from error?
C. Yes. But what kind of error do you mean?
M Examples: The Bible states in Genesis that vegetation was created first and then the sun was created. This is clearly unscientific! Vegetation cannot grow without sunlight. Another example:
Suppose one verse states that a certain person died at the age of fifty years and another verse states that the same person had died at the age of sixty years, can both statements be right?
C. Definitely not! Both statements can never be right. Only one can be right or both are wrong.
M. Right! If a holy book contains conflicting verses, do you still consider it holy?
C. Of course not, because a Holy Scripture is a revelation from God and it is impossible for it to contain mistakes, contradictions or conflicting verses. God is perfect!
M. Then it’s not holy again.
C. Right! Its holiness disappears.
M. Agreed! So you can’t trust it one hundred percent. What could be the causes then?
C. It could be a mistake in the recording; deliberate changes by scribes; deletions or additions.
M. If I show you conflicting verses in the Bible, would you still consider it holy?
C. I don’t believe that the Bible is not holy, since I don’t see any conflicting verses in it.
M. There are many conflicting verses in it.
C. In the Old or New Testament?
M. In both Testaments. These are just a few of them. But I want to remind you that you must not differentiate between the Old & New Testament as Jesus stated time and again that he did not come to change the Law. Otherwise the Church must cut out the Old Testament completely if today’s Christians do not wish to believe in it any longer.
Here are a few contradictions:

II Samuel 8:4.
And David took from him a thousand chariots and seven hundred horseman, and twenty thousand footmen…
I Chronicles 18:4.
And David took from him a thousand chariots and seven thousand horseman, and twenty thousand footmen.

Question: Was it Seven hundred or Seven thousand????
Which is correct????

II Samuel 8:9-10.
When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer. Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him and to bless him; because he had fought against Hadadezer, and had smitten him; for Hadadezer had wars with Toi.
And Joram with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass.
I Chronicles 18:4.
Now when Tou king of Hamath heard of how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah; he sent Hadoram his son to David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
Question: Was it Toi or Tou ? Joram or Hadoram? Hadadezar or Hadarezer ????
Which names are correct??
II Samuel 10:18.
And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of seven hundred chariots of the Syrians, and forty thousand horsemen, and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.
I Chronicles 19:18.
But the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians seven thousand men that fought in chariots and forty thousand footmen & killed Shophach the captain of the host.
Question: Was it men of Seven hundred chariots or seven thousand men?
Question: Was it Forty thousand footmen or forty thousand horsemen?? Was it Shobach or Shophach ??

II Kings 8:26
Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign.
II Chronicles 22:2
Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign.
Question: Was he twenty-two years old???
Or was he forty-two years old ??? Which is correct??
II Kings 24:8
Jehoiachim was eighteen years old when he began to reign and he reigned in Jerusalem three months.
II Chronicles 36:9
Jehoiachim was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem.
Question: Was he eight years old or was he eighteen years old?????
Question: Did he reign for three months only or for three months & ten days???
II Samuel 23:8
I Chronicles 11:11
These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat , chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lifted up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.
And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains; he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at one time.

Question: Was it a Tachmonite or a Hachmonite?????
Question: was it eight hundred or was it three hundred???
II Samuel 24:1
And again the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, go number Israel and Judah.
I Chronicles 21:1
And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
Question: Who provoked David? Was it the Lord or was it Satan???
This is a very serious contradiction. Shocking!
II Samuel 6:23.
Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child until the day of her death.
Question: Did Michal, the daughter of Saul, have no sons, or five sons???
II Samuel 21:8.
But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni, and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barziai the Meholathite.
Note: The name Michal in II Samuel 21:8 is still present in the King James version and the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures used by the Jehovah’s Witnesses, but is changed in the New American Standard Bible 1973.

C. I never saw all these contradictions before. Are there any more?
M. Yes, there are dozens more. But is this not enough to deny its holiness? Read the following: Genesis 6:3: “And the Lord said, ‘My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh, yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.’” How old was Noah when he died?
C. I don’t remember.
M. More than a hundred and twenty years. Read Genesis 9:29:
C. “And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years when he died.” Some Christian theologians do not maintain that the maximum age of man will be a hundred and twenty years but that the flood came in a hundred and twenty years.
M. Even this doesn’t fit because at the time of the flood Noah should have been 620 (500 + 120) years old, but the Bible states 600 years. Study these verses-Genesis 5:32: “And Noah was five hundred years old...” Genesis 7:6: “And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. Was he 500 years old or was he 600 years old?? Clear contradiction.
Christianity believes that God created man in His image. This is according to Genesis 1:26: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness . . .” But this contradicts Isaiah 40:18 and 25: “To whom then will ye liken God? Or what likeness will ye compare unto him? ... To whom then will ye liken ME, or shall I be equal? Saith the Holy One.” See also Psalm 89:6: “For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?” And Jeremiah 10:6,7: “Forasmuch as there is none like unto Thee, O’ Lord ... there is none like unto Thee.”
C. But all these are in the Torah.
M. Again you are differentiating between the Old and the New Testament. It is part of the Bible that the Christians have to believe in. Did not Jesus say clearly that he came not to destroy the Law (Torah) but to uphold it? Jesus obeyed Moses’ Law to the letter and you want to make divisions by saying this is Old Testament and this is New Testament. You must be careful about playing with your faith. Anyway let’s go to the New Testament now. Here are a few examples:

John 5:37.
Ye have neither heard His voice (God’s) at any time, nor seen His shape.
John 8:14.
He that has seen me, hath seen the Father…
John 5:31.
If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
John 8:14.
Jesus answered and said unto them; though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true.
Mark 69:9.
Blind Bartimaeus, sat…
(One blind person)
Matthew 8:28.
Met two men blind,
(Two blind persons)
Matthew 21.
Jesus asked for a colt and an ***.
Mark chapter 1.
Jesus asked only for an ***.
Matthew.
Describes Joseph as a son of Jacob.
Luke.
Describes Joseph as a son of Heli.
30
Luke. 3:23.
Says Jesus was 30 years old when he departed.
John. 8:57.
Says that Jesus was 50 years old when he departed.

These are only a few of the contradictions in the New Testament. You will see many more as we discuss together the truth of the doctrines of modern Christianity like the Trinity, Divinity of Jesus Christ, Divine Sonship of Jesus, Original Sin and Atonement, not to mention the degrading accusations and outright lies against many Prophets in the Bible. The prophets are accused as worshippers of false gods and of incest, rape and adultery. I seek forgiveness of ALLAH, for even just uttering these terrible things.
C. Where do you find that in the Bible?
M. Noah is shown to have been drunk to the point of becoming naked in the presence of his grown-up sons (Genesis 9:23-24): “And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.”
Solomon was accused not only of having a large harem but also of worshipping false gods (I Kings 11:9-10): “And the Lord was angry with Solomon ... And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the Lord commanded.”
Aaron as a Prophet who had accompanied his brother Moses to go to Pharaoh, was accused of having fashioned the golden calf for the Israelites to worship (Exodus 32:4): “And he (Aaron) received them (golden earrings) at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a golden calf; and they said, these be thy gods O’ Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.”
You will read of the incest of Prophet Lot with his two daughters (Genesis 19:36): “Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.”
You will read of a Prophet who was married to two sisters at the same time that is forbidden (Genesis 29:28): “And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week, and he (Laban) gave him Rachel, his daughter to wife also.”
And another Prophet is accused of adultery (II Samuel 11:4-5) “And David sent messengers, and took her, (the wife of Uriah) and she came in unto him and he lay with her, for she was purified from her uncleanness, and she returned unto her house. And the woman conceived and sent and told David, I am with child.”
A very important question arises here: How could David then be accepted in the genealogy of Jesus when it started with a person who committed adultery? Is this not in contradiction with what is mentioned in Deuteronomy 23:2: “A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.” (Muslims reject all of the above lies).
Another allegation of incest along with rape by Ammon the son of David on his half-sister Tamar (II Samuel 13:14): “Howbeit he (Ammon) would not hearken unto her voice: but being stronger than she (Tamar), forced her, and lay with her.”Still another multiple rape by Absalom on David’s concubines, is told in 11 Samuel 16:33: “So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house, and Absalom went in unto his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.” (I can’t believe that anybody in the world could do this, imagine on a rooftop before everyone).
Another incest, this time committed by Judah on Tamar his daughter-in-law. Judah was on his way to Timnath to shear his sheep when he saw Tamar, and he thought her to be a harlot because she had her face covered (Genesis 38:18): “... And he (Judah) gave it to her, (signet, bracelet and staff) and came in unto her and she conceived by him.” The Qur’an rejects all these false allegations most vehemently. (I seek Allah’s forgiveness for even writing these things.)
Although Jews and Muslims are archenemies, no Muslim would dare to write a book and stamp any Israelite Prophet like Judah, David, Jesus, (pbut) or any prophet with rape, adultery, incest or prostitution. (I again seek ALLAH’S forgiveness for even writing these terrible and vile things, which no Muslim will ever believe!) Yet these horrible things are in your Bible, which Christians blindly accept and believe! As-Tagfirullah! (I seek the forgiveness of Allah). Muslims respect, love and revere all the prophets of God, including all the Jewish Prophets, as it is an article of faith of a Muslim to do so! We would never speak or write evil of them! Any Muslim who believes these types of allegations becomes an unbeliever according to the Qur’an. Ask yourself this important question:
When Allah sent Prophets for the guidance of mankind, do you think that He had chosen the wrong people for the guidance of mankind?
C. Certainly not! But don’t you believe in the Bible?
M. We Muslims believe in all the revealed Divine Scriptures, but in their original text. Jesus (pbuh) spoke Aramaic. Not English or Greek or Latin or any another language. Let us be very clear on this. So where is the original Bible in Aramaic? It does not exist! God sent to each nation a Prophet as a warner and bearer of good tidings, and some with a Scripture as guidance for their people. Examples: The Torah (Old Testament) to Moses, the Zabur (Psalms) to David, and the Injeel (New Testament-Good News) to Jesus. It is stated many times clearly in the Bible that Jesus (pbuh) himself said to his disciples “don’t go in the way of the Gentiles” meaning do not go to the non-Jews. As part of Allah’s original plan, He finally sent Muhammed (peace be upon him) as the Final and last Prophet with the Final Revelation, the Holy Qur’an as the guidance for all of mankind, irrespective of nationalities and for all times. Of these Scriptures only the Qur’an remains in its original text.
Jesus himself said that he was sent only to the house of Israel. (Matthew 15:24): “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Also (Matthew 1:21): “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins.” (i.e. the Jews). Jesus also said that he came not to make changes but to fulfill the Law. (Matthew 5:17-18): “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets; I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, not one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” In Chapter 61.v6 of the Qur’an it states emphatically that Jesus came to the Jews.
C. But in Mark 16:15 Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
M. This contradicts what is mentioned above in Matthew 15:24 and Matthew 1:21.Very Important: Mark 16:9-20 has been expunged in many Bibles. The New American Standard Bible put this part in brackets and wrote the following commentary: “Some of the oldest manuscripts omit Matthew verses 9 through 20.” The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures used by the Jehovah’s Witnesses, admits that certain ancient manuscripts add a long conclusion or a short conclusion after Mark 16:8 but some omit it entirely. The Revised Standard version prints the following footnote: “Some of the most ancient authorities bring the book to a close at the end of verse 8:” This means also that the resurrection is not true as this is described in Mark 16:9.
C. But Jesus said in Matthew 28:19: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations.”
M. “All nations” must be explained as “all the twelve tribes of Israel;” otherwise it contradicts Matthew 15:24 and Matthew 1:21. In the New American Standard Bible and the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures it is not translated as “all nations” of the world, but as “all the nations,” which means “the twelve tribes of Israel.” What do you think of the Bible’s authenticity now?
C. I am now having doubts about it.
M. I am sure you will be convinced of the authenticity of Islam after we have discussed in detail our differences. I urge you to ask as many questions as you wish. That is the only way you can dispel any lingering doubts you may have in your mind and reach finality in your search for the truth!
C. You know it is a pleasant change to hear you say again that I must ask questions. Our learned Christian theologians discourage anyone to ask questions. I think that it is my right to ask questions to know the truth.
M. Of course its a person’s right to ask questions. It is a pity that more ordinary Christians like you don’t ask questions of the Priests on the Doctrines that the Church preaches. Our Sheiks and Imams encourage us to ask questions, as it is a fundamental right of a person. That is the only way to dispel any doubts. The answers must appeal to your intellect, be logical and reasonable and must make sense otherwise you will be the loser. In fact in many mosques around the world, classes are held regularly only to field questions from the ordinary people.
