Looking for sweet or fruity champagne. Not overpowering, but not super dry. I've only had mostly super-dry champagnes.

What do I need to look for on the bottle to tell the difference?

In American: Schramsberg is the best

However, real champagnes, the ones who are allowed to call themselves "champagne" are only made in the Champagne region of France. All other "champagnes" are actually just sparkling wines.

A good French Champagne that you do not have to get a mortgage to afford is: Cordon Rouge

Here is some reading you can do

All Champagne is good! No not really, some are awfully dry. For an affordable bottle, try Rotari. It has a yellow label. It isn't too dry, and it's not killer fruity either. Now I want a glass of champagne.

If you want a Champagne that is fruitier stay away from Brut, as that indicates one of the driest styles Extra Brut is the very driest, but not very common. Sec is medium dry and demi-sec is sweeter and Doux, again a arare style, is the most sweet. Opt for a Rose' style of Champagne or Nectar Imperial to match your taste for a fruitier style without being too sweet. A sparkling Moscato or sparkling from Asti will most likely be too sweet for your palette, but not all of them, thus do your research and have fun!

We have one here in Ontario Canada called Chrystelle, by Peller Estates, part ice wine and part champagne. You get the fizz but not too much which I hate and the sweetness of the ice wine is not too much either. Great for a brunch or to drink with really rich foods and or desserts

Reminds me of the person on Safari in Africa whilst he meets a witch health care professional and saves his lifestyles through taking pictures a marauding lion that used to be approximately to assault him. The witch health care professional says "Thank you. For saving my lifestyles I will supply you one want." As the man used to be now not above all good endowed he replies "I want my penis would succeed in the bottom." The witch health care professional wave his fingers round pronouncing "Your want is granted." Just then the man's legs fell off! Good funny story incidentally.
