Did they not give you instructions at the place you had it done? They are required to. Well, you could try a ice pack, 20 minutes on and then 20 off.

It is natural for your lip to swell up like that when the piercing is new. you can help it along by using a cotton ball of warm water and sea salt or just a warm wet paper towel

apply a cold paper towl before your last clean of the day for 3 minutes
after you clean do the same with a warm paper towel

this will help to speed healing and reduce swelling

Take some Motrin and put an ice pack on it. I got mine pierced 3 years ago, and it took a while for the swelling to go down...I'd say about 3 days.

LOL

I have my lip pierced too....it sucks. I couldnt eat anything for a week and lost almost 10lbs!! Just take Ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory) It will go down on its own after a few days...but it will still be super sore for weeks. Just give it time & make sure you clean it well & clean it after you put ANYTHING in your mouth...or it will get infected and swell up worse
rock on.
