the problem I have is that after the formal we are going to a concert so I need help picking a way to do my hair so I can look nice at both places. I was thinking about half up half down with a nice barette but I'm not sure. So please help me.

Something even simpler is a low ponytail, which is very classy. Once you get out to go to the concert you can put it in a high ponytail, which is also in, but gives off a more layed back vibe.

For long hair which I'm guessing you have i would say curls and use a little hair spray, they stay and they always look good or put it all up and then curl the part that is hanging down...or do the half up and half down, but curl it.

High ponytail with a lot of volume in the pony and on your head. Great for both occasions and low maintenance throughout the night.

Leave them natural and open, and wave them if they aren't naturally wavy. That's the best way to go.
