I'm not racist or anything like that but I strongly agree with you, I don't know what country you are in but here in the UK specially where I live near the bottom of the country. There is so many people, none of them care about helping the people back in their own countries, they just wanna come here and take over everything.. we have to give them respect but we aren't allowed to say Christmas lights.. now it's winter lights.. They are destroying our religion.. we use them for Christmas and so it's Christmas lights.. They're allowed to say whatever they want but we aren't, if they do something to us it's our fault, if we do it to them then we're racist.. stupid. I think we need to call get together and help their countries out.. then they'll have no reason or excuse to come over here.

Here's an idea. If you are of European extraction, perhaps you as an illegal alien (I mean, come on, Your people STOLE the land right?) should go back to YOUR original nation of origin and take up the same fight. At least most Mexican people have traceable roots to the natives of North and South America. How about you? If you really want to open that can of worms than be prepared to take your own advice.

Thank you. I love your reasonable and practical thinking. However, as long as we accept the status que with illegals they will not be motivated to work within their own Country to achieve better lives. They are taking the easy way out by not fighting for change where they are.
Our government and Mexican President Fox are in cohorts with the powers that be in Mexico and too many of us are just sitting by, complaining and not really insisting a real resolution to this problem.

Illegal aliens should be deported and given the opportunity to enter this country through the proper channels. If they pass the necessary screenings to gain access into this country like most of America's ancestors did, then welcome them with open arms.
Our military has bravely volunteered to secure America's freedom and to uphold our laws. Is it too much to ask- that America's citizens do their best to uphold the law. I don't think so.

My husband spent 20 yrs in the US Army.he was a POW for 15 months in Viet Nam.Don't tell me he hasn't fought for a right to be in this country or for me to voice my opinion on illegals in this nation.I died every day for 15 months not knowing if he would live or die.Then it was 3 yrs after he came home to get him healthy and for him to be able sleep without nightmares. You need to watch your mouth.Why aren't you in Iraq?

It had NOTHING to do with immigration.The verse was part of a contest to raise money for the base the Statue stands on.Its only a plaque in the Statue of Liberty museum and was never attached to the lady herself.

You make that sound simple. Our freedom from Britain took decades. If you have a family to feed and your best option for making money is to sneak across the border then you will do that. You don't have time to wait for political change. I'm not saying that I condone it, I'm saying that's the way it is. Philosophical arguments such as yours don't take into account that reality.
