You can get them CDs of their favorite music or a nice sweatshirt of their favorite brand. If they're girls, you can get lotions and soaps and candles or nail polish and lip gloss. For guys, you can get something like a beanie with their favorite team on it. If all else fails, get a giftcard. If they're in college, a gift card to a nearby coffee shop like Starbucks might be good so they can get coffee to help them stay awake to study whenever they want. Also, with a Starbuck's card you don't have to make it an expensive gift, maybe just only 20 bucks each, depending on your budget. Good luck!

My older children always want expensive electronics! I have an18,16,&13 year old. They know Im not loaded so my husband and I usually just give them a hundred dollars. Let's face it, it's cheaper than a b-day party. Then they can decide if they really want to plop down $250 for a new phone or $400 for the latest gaming system.(they get $ from relatives too) For other peoples children I suggest gift cards to the local mall. Our mall has generic cards which can be used any any store in the building.

a million) toddlers below the age of three can not be too linked to their mothers 2) Your son is beginning to demonstrate the potential to attain that persons are separate and that he's cut loose his mom. that is a common developmental point. maximum toddlers circulate by a factor the place they act nervous around "strangers" even kin they don't see daily. This often starts off between 7 months and a million twelve months. that is often referred to as separation stress. 3) The greater securely linked a sprint one is to their mom the fewer severe separation stress has a tendency to be, so attachment is in certainty a separate difficulty from separation stress. (which isn't to declare you are able to not have a thoroughly linked toddler with destructive separation, or vice versa. i'm speaking statistically). 4) even with what absolutely everyone tells you there is not something you are able to truly do to get by this section any speedier. progressively increasing the dimensions of time mom and toddler are aside, or making rituals approximately going away do not likely do something. yet you maintain attempting issues and then finally it is going away with the help of itself and credit is given to regardless of you have been attempting on the time, while in certainty the two it beginning and combating are merely commonplace developmental milestones that parent's incredibly have tremendously much no administration over.

I am a mother of 6, and this is what I suggest.....If you have girls.... get a pretty basket, bag, or even a laundry basket and fill with neccessities...like shampoos, lotions, perfumes, razors, nail supplies, new curling iron, ect. Especially if they live on their own, as they can usually not afford these LUXURIES. As for the boys, it works the same way, but be creative in what you use to put all of it in, and what goes in it. I would get a duffel bag or maybe an ice chest. You want the container to be of use also. This is what I do. My daughter is 18, and moved out, and on her birthday, I took a laundry basket, and filled it full of laundry soap, bleach, dryer sheets, softener, and household cleaners like dishsoap, mop-n-glo, ect. She loved it. On their budgets, all of this is LUXERY things they usually just buy the cheapest and go on. Hope this helps.

if they don't have one an ipod is a good idea. They have come down a bit in price and the shuffle and nano are not to costly. Also, ebay and overstock.com can be good resources for electronics. Also concert/ event tickets always go over well! Hope that helps!

What about if you just asked them? My parents always asked me so to make sure I got what I wanted every year. Good luck and maybe you could also give them practical stuff like clothes, money or a effin gift card! :-) Sorry had to do that.
