I don't smoke, but I do drink tea and coffee. I realize that will cause the overall color of the teeth to stain, but would it cause black lines to form on the teeth and between the teeth?

Black stains in between teeth and at the gumline are indeed coffee and tea stains. I advise you to brush three-four times a day and remove these stains before they become calculus.

I wouldn't worry. I highly doubt it's bruising. My horses get black gums that have that look every year when certain types of plants are growing. For some reason certain plants whether fresh or in hay seem to give their gums that horrid blackish color. : ) Some horses get it far more than others.

IF THERE IS TARTAR BETWEEN YOUR TEETH, THIS WOULD STAIN DARK FROM COFFEE OR TEA.

IF YOU HAVE TRADITIONAL CROWNS, DARN LINE AROUND THE TOOTH ON THE GUMS IS PART OF THE METAL COLLAR OF THE CROWS. CONSIDER THESE REPLACED WITH CAPTEK CROWNS.
