Hello, I would suggest getting up early everyday, doing your regular stuff and adding an exercise routine in, and also you could try breathing techniques when you start to worry, like take deep breaths and slolwy breath it out do it 5 times at 4 times a day, it can really help, also have you ever read any christian books? I have one by Elsa Kok and I take my timeout of the day everyday to read and do the study its very relaxing, brings me closer to the Lord and I just feel better, as it brings you through the Bible. I think if you try it for a week you would notice a difference, I wish you the best!!

Hi there, I just got over a long bout of insomnia (about 6 months long). I tried several over the counter medicines (sleeping pills) and nothing seemed to help. What I can suggest is going to bed earlier if you can. I know you have kids and this may not work all the time, but see if your husband would be willing to help you out while he is at home from his trips to see if you can get back on your sleep pattern. I used to not get to bed until say 3 or 4 in the morning, then have to wake up again at 7am. Now I am in bed by 9pm and don't wake up until 7. Thank goodness. I find that reading a few hours before I go to sleep helps to relax me as well so I don't worry about other things going on. Good luck and hope this helps you.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

Wow not your typical insomniac are you? Anyway no worries ok try this ....set aside one hour every day to go over your "bad memories' if you should start thinking these thoughts at other times of the day push them aside. This is a discpline thing but It does work for some. Tell yourself you are not going to think this stuff in bed if you do start to... get up right away do something else take your mind off it then try again in 20-30 minutes after your mind settles down. This may take a few days to a couple weeks to work out the kinks but if you do this every day it will eventually sink in that you are allowing yourself 1 hour to stress out everyday, and its NOT bedtime.

Take your mind off those things before bed. Get into a good book and have some hot tea with no caffeine. Cut the caffeine down from your daily diet as well. Try to RELAX an hour before bed... don't do laundry or dishes or any kind of exertion before bedtime. Good luck.

Well, since you are already familiar with the Internet, try searching on GABA and see if you think you may have a deficiency. A deficiency of GABA often causes the mind to keep going at night. If so, a compound from Green Tea will solve the problem. It is call L-Theanine and it is available in capsule form from your health food store. The capsule form is equivalent to drinking a huge amount of green tea so it is preferable. If you try the green tea route get decaffeinated tea.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

Like this: "Sweetheart, I just had a threesome with your Mom and Grandma" This should sufficiently shock her. Then you you should say "Just kidding honey, what kind of a man do you think I am....! Harrumph!!! By the way I do have a wife and two kids". She'll be so relieved that you didn't have a bone session with her mom and grammy, everything will be forgiven. Hope this helped.

Melatonin is a chemical in our body that helps us sleep. You can also buy this over the counter at any drugstore and it makes the melatonin in your body work faster to help you fall asleep. I know I have used it years ago when I had problems falling asleep. Also when you go to bed don't think about anything, say your prayer and close your eyes and try to go to sleep.
