Nothing. It's a way of reaching souls for Christ. Rap is a culture. Some people who listen to it in the world think they have to leave everything in their culture behind when they come to Christ. And some people aren't going to come to Christ by people singing Amazing Grace no matter how sweet it sounds. I know not all Christian rappers rap about God and I don't listen to them. I listen to the ones that use their talent to glorify God. There are a lot of Christian rappers who do represent Christ. Ex: Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, the Ambassador and the Cross Movement. I am a born again Christian and I listen to it. That doesn't mean I don't like worship or slow music. I have a lot of friends who like rap and that's my way of witnessing to them. That my opinion.
Rep 4 Christ and God bless

In reality why do christian rappers rap? Is it to spread the message of the cross? More often than not they don't and it is centered around hip hop culture instead of being conformed to the image of Christ. It is centered around fame and personal gain. I won't say that it is wrong but I would have to challenge the hidden motive.

Given the choice of listening to either hymns or christian rap, I'd take the third option and hack my ears off with a rusty blade.

I think it could be a good thing but i doubt many would take it seriously, because the culture of rap music is completely at odds with the christian message. It is like having a christian Wigi board.

The only thing lacking in rap music, in my opinion, is the lack of any substance of message...I'd imagine that Christian rap might fill that gap, so I'd say it's all good.

Couldn't tell you since I don't listen to it. But then I abhor Rap in general, so I can't imagine I'd find anything likable about Christian Rap.

Well, to me all rap just sounds like people talking really fast, and I find it extremely annoying. But that is just my opinion...

It should really be Christian Wrap. It's placing another message around a popular cultural phenomenon; one that isn't exactly very good to begin with.
