I believe that our bodies were creasted in a fascinating way- that science and medicine have not even scratched the surface of the wonders and intricacies of our bodies.
I believe that God created our bodies with the ability to heal itself. I believe however that He gave us certain laws, dietary and otherwise that teach us how to nourish and care for our bodies so that it can heal. When we do things contrary to God's word, we hinder our bodies ability to heal itself. I believe in faith healing to a degree-the evidence of faith is obedience. You can have all the prayer and belief in God and His ability to heal but refuse to lay down the sin that so easliy besets, continue eating man made garbage or filling your body with unnatural chemical substances and you are blocking oyur healing. At the same time, you can do all the right things but not put your faith in the God who created your body, not believe that you can be healed and you hinder yourself there too. Faith and obedience work together. I have seen and heaed of all manner of "incurable" diseases healed - but just as a machine needs the right amont and kind of oil , certain componants and ingredients to work and function as it was designed to, God made everything that our bodies need to be nourished, grow , heal and function properly- if we refuse to feed our bodies the things that were specifically designed for it, then we will continue to be sick and just get sicker

Given the evidence that our bodies heal themselves all the time, yes, I believe that God gave our bodies the ability to heal themselves.
You are asking if I believe that the mind or the soul or something can heal the body? This is a harder question to answer. I don't go in for the mass-hysteria "faith healings" that are publicized on television and whatnot. What I think is that sometimes God heals the body in ways that mystify doctors, and that God does that sometimes for his own good purposes. But I do know also that whatever happens in this world, we cannot force the hand of God to do anything. So if you're talking "mind over matter" when it comes to miraculous healings, it would be God's mind over matter, not man's mind over matter. People can certainly pray that God will heal their or others' bodies, but whether or not God does it is up to God, obviously.
I tend to think that people who are all obsessed with "faith healings" don't really know God all that well, or they would accept their infirmities with humility and gratitude, if it turned out that their infirmities were terminal. That is, if I'm going to die, and it's God will that I die, then I trust that God knows what he's doing, and I'm not going to go begging him to extend my stay on earth if his will is otherwise.

There are some cases where obviously a miracle of healing had occured. But why we can not get healed every time , I do not know. I always pray for God's will in every situation. But I will go to a doctor in a NY minute. I believe God does heal now days in certain situations. But it is rare.
Benny Hinn, Katheryn Kulman and that bunch of charismatics are all fake.
God can and sometimes does heal, but 99% of the time even serious people of God do not get healed.

Yep - as stated in other answers, our bodies are designed to fix themselves up.
I do believe in miracle healings through prayer, I've seen a few now.
I also believe in the ability to defeat sickness through faith in Jesus. Isaiah 53:5 says "by His wounds we are healed" referring to Jesus as He died on the cross. Not "will be" but "are" I am healed. Therefore, any sickness I percieve is not real. Satan is the father of lies, and the father of sickness. He is lying to me and telling me I am sick. When I feel it coming on, I just say "no" I am NOT sick, Jesus say I am healed. I haven't been sick since 8th grade, and I'm 29 now. I had one instance this year, a minor day of not feeling well, but I was running from God during that time, so I didn't have the power available to use against the devil.
In Jesus, we have the power to defeat the enemy if we believe it.

Iam only concerned with the letter which begin the word God. If you mean believing that god gave us the ability to heal, NO. But if you mean God, then yes I believe in healing and God has given us the ability to heal. Mark 16 vs 16-18

I don't feel that I've ever seen a genuine healing in the mystical sense. But, if there are those who can, it is more likely a rare mutation or family trait that has evolved in them makeing them very special, like x-men I guess, in a way. And I don't think any invisible being gave it to them as a gift though, no.

Of course I do. After you have been healed of something, you begin to understand things the way things truly are and not what they appear to be. We do have the ability to heal.
