Go to http://www.irs.gov/ and download what you need.
In the Search Bar at the upper right, type "2004 1040" and the next page will have the forms you need.

Go to irs.gov and click on "more forms and publications" in the left hand column, then on the next page click on "previous years". They have them online back to 1990.

The post office, and local libraries, generally just have the current year's forms, and only around January-April. You could call the irs and get the forms sent to you, but downloading them online would be quicker.

flow to the guy who did your takes in 2004. they're required via regulation to hold onto your tax return replica and any w2s you gave them for 5 years. only call them and that they'd seem for you, they'd can charge a small value in spite of the undeniable fact that to reprint them.

I would think you could download them on line from irs.gov. This is just where i would start from. I know that you can get them faxed to you so why not on line? Try it and i know it will work.
