Have you tried (and the buttons are right on the monitor in front) adjusting the brightness of the screen, and the contrast ...that might work.....lowering the brightness and the contrast to what is acceptable to you.

Headaches can be caused by many different things. I hate to tell you that I cant say what is causing yours, but there are so many factors it could be caused by. Below I will list a few common headache causing problems.
vision
lack of nutrition
diabetes
brain hemerages
tumors
migraine
stress
hormone changes/inballance
exposure to chemicals, such as gas, chlorine, or paint thinner
To be certain that it isnt caused by an underlining illness see your doctor. Also if changes in vision occur tell your doctor. If you develop dizzyness, or feel faint, nasaeu or vomit that could be serious.

It may not be just the brilliance of the screen.
Do you struggle to read books, small print, or newspapers?
If yes - then you may well have to see an optician for corrective lenses (Glasses or contacts)
Too much time in front of the PC! It comes to us all in the end.

Get a tinted screen filter, worked for me!!!
Also, see your Doctor, they can give you tablets for that. I haven't had a migraine for ages and I used to get them two or three times a week and they could last days at a time.
Feel better soon, Honey!!

you can get a screen that sits just in front of the screen to reduce the glare, make sure the room is well lit and don't spend to long in front of the monitor

there are screen covers available to deal with glare and reading ease, you might also change the position of your monitor--you may also need your eyes checked..headaches sometimes from eye strain...
