Oh brother... Let her have the lifesavers candy, for goodness sake! Do you want them? If not, let the kid have the candy!!!! If it was money or some other personal items, then yeah she needs to get busted.

of course it's rude...the candy is there for everyone and she's being selfish....
if you really really want those life savers.....(and dont' want to go to all the trouble and expense of buying some for yourself)...you could say to her "i've noticed you're a big fan of life savers too...mind if i have some?" (or " mind if i keep a stash in my drawer too?")

Yes-- I would immediatley file a complaint with Human Resources, (small round candy division). I'm sure the punishment will be swift and harsh--- maybe they'll beat her with a twizzler!
