The word "sin" is an archery term. It means "missing the mark". What is sin for one might not be for another. A sin is anything that is contrary to God's law, because if we do it, we are missing the mark of what God's plan is.
Spiritual restoration means what it says. Your spirit (not to be confused with the Holy Spirit) is restored, communication and communion is put back together with God, by many different means, usually it means if you have turned away from God, and you come back, asking forgiveness, your spirit (spirit of life) is restored.
Homosexuality is a sin. Read Romans, first Chapter. It's there in black and white. The reason it's a sin is because it goes against God's plan, which is one man and one woman in unity.

Homosexuality is a choice, it is a sin, no one is born that way. To believe that someone is born that way is the same as saying a person is born to be a rapist, pedophile, or a drug addict. Sin is an addiction to anything that is not of God. Quit lying to yourself.
