I was in an alcohol program when I was young.The counselor
kept asking if I had any goals. I named about 10 short and
long term goals. And after each one. He said, "That won't keep you sober!" "That won't keep you sober!"
SoI went out and got DRUNK!
I realized later he wanted a programmed response. He wanted me to say my goal was to stay sober!

I don't want a programmed answer. I want to spread the good word of logic and reason, and to learn some new things along the way. Cheers!

Hard to say.

They could be incompetent.

Therapists are TRAINED in a manner and TRAINED not to vary from that manner.
