OK here goes....my bf and I share a car. (his needs a transmision and we don't have the money right now) I walk to work (10 blocks) and he drives 40 miles to his job. He is really into hunting right now, therefor gets home around 9:00pm every night except Wednesday because he plays pool that night, which means midnight or later. With that being said.......
This weekend he wants to go hunting with his brother and buddies. Friday night, all day Saturday, all day Sunday and Monday AM. So I said fine go. I'll take you to work on Friday morning and pick you up on Monday night. He's pissed off because he won't have a vehicle to drive. I say BOO HOO.... I'm always with out a car. What do you think?

If he is going with his brother and buddies then he should ride with one of them. You need the car if he is going to be gone for that long of a time....what if somehting happens like you have an emergency and have to go somewehre you can't walk. Plus I don't think you want to be stuck in the house all weekend while he is out. Don't let him take the car...he will be hunting so it's not like he will need to be driving around. He can ride with his brother.

No you are not being mean, if you have to walk every day then he should appreciate the fact you are letting him use the car. Tell him that you have a need for the car too and to get over it. My fiance and I share a car too because mine needs to be fixed also. Fortunately our schedule works out because I work during the day and he works at night. However if he needs to go anywhere during the day I have no problem with him dropping me off and picking me up. If he really cared about you then he would sacrifice is driving privileges and let you take him!

I can't believe he expects you to be without a vehicle just because he wants to go have some fun. I'm under the impression that the car is yours so he should be grateful you let him use your car so frequently. If he can afford to be hunting and playing pool all the time then why can't he afford to save his money to fix his transmission? You can buy a used tranny for well under $1000.00.
I agree with you big WAHHHHHHHHHHH tell him to get over it.

I think your boyfriend is very inconsiderate, and you should be able to have your car for the weekend. At least he'll have his brother and other buddies to ride with, but without the car, you'll be stuck.
If I were you, I'd question his whereabouts a bit more. It sounds like he might need to be replaced. ;)

I think he is being a selfish brat and good for you for standing up to him. Exactly when does boyfriend spend anytime taking care of you?
If his brother and his buddies are going, they can give him a ride. I would check and make sure all of this late night stuff doesn't have something to do with another woman. Sorry, but this reeks of cheating.

First - did you realize you posted this in Jokes and riddles? But to answer, If he is going with his bud's why can't they drive so you have YOUR car... I mean having to drive 40 miles to work is one thing, but you need some freedom too!!

It sounds like share is just another word for mine with him. Tell him that he should have someone else drive over the weekend. You are not being mean. He is.
