I live in Ohio and have a 6yr old who is in the 50th percentile for weight. He hates the jeans with the tabs in the side to make them smaller. He wears a 6 slim in most jeans, but I have been buying the ones with the tabs and tightening them to the end and they are still a little big.
Is there anywhere I can buy skinny jeans that don't have the pull tabs? He's pretty tall and can't wear a smaller size without looking like it's flooding outside.

The tab jeans are wonderful, Our son is in a 6 slim as well and those are the jeans we love. And if your son doesnt like those, try wranglers, They are made in slim and i mean they ARE slim lol. I dont care for the style so much but they fit the right way, try letting him wear a belt. Those work too. Herburgers and jcpenny also sell a good variety of slim jeans, make sure they have the elastic waist. But not the goofy kind lol. They still have pockets and buttons and ARE jeans lol GOODLUCK i know its tough :)

My daughter is in the same boat - 9 years, almost 5 foot tall and skinny as a rail. She hates the "Tabs" and says they're for babies.

I've found that Sears has a good "Slim fit" for girls - I'm sure they have them for boys too.

Target has a great line of jeans made by levi's. They have ajustable elastic, you cna pull the elastic out and button it to fit. I have the same problen with my tall skinny kids. Also sears carries the same type of pants. Good Luck!
