Guys love to be thanked. They feel like he can be a man infront of this girl.
But if he buys you a dinner, buy him a coffee or something. Show how you are not a high mainenance girl.
And end your first date in maximum of 3 hours!!! Very Very important!!! Make him feel that he wants to know about you more.

Whoa, there lassy....settle down now. First of all relax....take a deep breath and enjoy the first date. Just being there is already one thing....yes, compliments are good. Maybe a small gift....something you know he likes....(m&ms, etc)
First dates are always a little akward....so go with the flow. I've gone out with girls that just try to hard (i'm sure guys do too)..Take a picture of him doing anything.....First dates are memorable, by just being yourself and enjoying the company and the moment. If he see's that your are having a good time..... a second date is a sure thing.

firstly congrats u have the boy of ur dreams. to show him how much u love him sit down and just kiss and cuddle tell him u love him and will do forever. go for romantic walks be there for him in an situation that u or him may face. be honest and open to him
