I have bread in my fridge that says "best by" Nov. 5 - is it too late??

Best by just means that the bread is freshest if eaten by that date. Bread usually lasts a bit longer than that. Stores however can't sell it after that date so oftenthey donate it to soup kitchens.

Depends on the bread and the humidity 4-5 days after the exp. date usually

I've had bread lasts up to 2wks past the sell by date.You can also freeze it.

Up to six months if you put in in the freezer. This is how airlines do it. They'll never ran out of rolls.

Bread is no longer edible after it turns green. Before that -- munch away, it won't kill you.

usually it is good until you start seeing mold LOL

if it's not moldy it should be good. if it is yuck throw it out!
