Ive been madly in love with john for 2yrs now hes the kindest,nicest guy i know and absolutely hunky with it, trouble is he can't understand why anyone would want to go out with him,He's been hurt badly in the past and has a fear that as soon as he starts getting involved he will be heading for disaster.so he avoids getting serious with anyone,well last fri we arranged to meet up and had a fatastic night which we both enjoyed spending the entire evening together ,he was the perfect gentleman and weve txted each other since then but we don't seem tobe getting anywhere ,do i just give up or do i continue to try to win his confidence and trust ,he says he really really likes me and that im the ideal girlfriend and type he would want a serious lasting relatonship with and its always special when were together and no he hasnt tried to get me into bed ,hes just been so loving but hes extremely shy and lacking in confidence and i dont know what to do or how to get things moving forward?

Well, it sounds like maybe he needs a little prodding...maybe you should get him a gift that signifies something meaningful to the two of u, and then plan a night that he wont soon forget.

Try to make him understand that this is the future he has to open up to you or he lose you make him understand that you love him and you will do anything to make him see even if it means giving time to think.
