This is what I use. I wet my hair and apply a setting lotion and roll it up. My curls last for a couple if days, before re applying the setting lotion. Do not roll up your hair with sponge rollers, they cause your hair to become dry, brittle and will break off. use the plastic rollers. They worked really well on wet hair.

My hair curls great with just water. I don't use rollers, instead I do rag curls (which is taking small strip of fabric and tying them around a little bit of hair, wrapping the hair around it and then tying it all together) but roller should work fine with just water. Just be sure to leave them in until your hair dries completely. If it's at all still damp, the curls may fall right out.

Yes i do it all of the time...I'm black,so mine stays about a week and a half.....Wash your hair and then when its still wet roll them with "flexirods".Go to a hair supply store and ask for them......They're rods, and they come in all sizes so your curls can come out large or small.Part your hair in sections and use "Motions Wrapping and Setting Lotion"(when it comes out it comes out as foam, its great any race can use it,its in a yellow and purple bottle)Damp the section your on with the foam,Then after you curl your hair with the rods, sit under the dryer for about an hour,or until hair is dry...you need to make sure you hair at the root is completely dry though.....that's why i said about an hour.....then twist the rods out in the same direction of the curl...and there you go!!!!You'll have big Shirley temple curls, and if you want them loose, then get some hair wax and put some on your thumb and index finger and take them apart......the wax helps the curl not fuzz up.....but not TOO much that it weighs down your hair.....its great, your curls stay!!!!!You should invest in a Conair sit under dryer....because you can use sponge rollers, and stay under there and have loose curls if you comb the curls out with your fingers.....trust me,THIS WORKS!!!!!

You can braid it overnight? Or while your hair is damp, take cloth or a brown paper bag and rip it into long strips. Then take it and basically roll your hair around it and bobby pin the brown bag and your hair. It has the same effect as a roller. Sorry if my explanation was weird.. Search it on YouTube. Lots of people posted tutorials on how to curl hair with brown bags or cloth! It works, I've tried it. Or you can go old fashion and twist your hair and clipping it with a bobby pin overnight? That takes a while though. I used to part my hair in half, take the half, split it in half, and twist. (I have 4 twists.) I take the 2 halves from one side, and twist them together, and do the same to the other side. Then I tie them, making sure that they don't slowly start to untwist. I usually tie them in front of my face so that it doesn't untwist. It makes u look like u have a beard..but it looks really nice once done lol.

depends on how well your hair holds curl. You may want to apply a product before rolling called Curls Rock bt Catwalk. You can use a very small amount combined with a small amout of leave in conditioner. This should give you the holding power but will keep it soft and shiney.

You can sleep in sponge rollers and your hair does not have to be wet. It may not stay curled very long without hairspray though.

The only way to curl your hair without heat,is to sleep with the rollers on your hair, try doing this after you've just washed it.

I cant use hairspray either it is so gunky.
I put something through my hair like a light weight texturizer. Hold curls good.
Try something that emits water with heat. Steam.
Get a hair treatment and put some moisture in your hair.
Or stop curling your hair taht way and try something else.
Soft curlers. pins.

use sponge rollers after shampooing on wet hair. Leave them on till your hair is dry. This is temporary though without the use of hair spray!
