I liked Nature's Rest at Jordans Furniture. I wasn't that crazy about Temperpedic. I toss and turn a lot in my sleep and I am driving my husband crazy.

Mattress sales are an area where the seller has a lot of advantages. A pretty mattress cover can be put on a crappy mattress, so it can be hard to tell a good one from a bad one.

I suggest that you try as many as you can to find one that feels good. Since it depends on how you sleep (stomach, side, back) you will want to consider that.

I have found that a conventional mattress with lots of independent coil springs gives the most even support and stops the "telegraphing" of movement from one person to another. If you get the right product, your husband won't feel it when you roll over or move.

Foam and Pick-A-Number products are gimmics in my opinion. got to a number of stores and don't feel funny about laying on their products. Try to get the sales rep to buzz off while you check things out.

I love a temperpedic and I agree it takes getting use to. I bought a Scandinavian that's a good quality mattress with a 5" of temperdedic on top of it. That makes for a nice compromise. Don't buy anything with double quilted tops; if you find one it's old cause they quit making them last year. Sterns-Foster is a good brand too and they have an excellent warranty. Expect to pay $2500-4000 for a great mattress set. Godloveya.

We have a Sealy. It was expensive, but it was worth it. It's the most comfortable mattress I ever had. My husband used to sell furniture and they sold lots of Temperpedics too.

Hands down, spending the money on a Sleep Number Adjustable Mattress is well worth it! You pay twice as much but it lasts 3 times longer than a Sealy or Serta or any other name brand mattress on the market. They have payment plans. We purchased a top-of-the-line Sealy a few years ago and paid top dollar for a good quality one but now I'm wishing we'd just gone ahead and bought the Sleep Number. They don't break down over time the way other mattresses do and for those days that your muscles are achy you can adjust it to meet your comfort level. QVC sells them for a pretty good price......

I'd give a strong recommendation for the Tempurpedic. If you didn't like it, odds are the model in the store was beat to hell and lost some of it's microcellular regeneration properties. Try another store that may have many on display and try it again. Also USE your normal sleep position to mimic how it will REALLY feel once you are laying on it. (If you are uncomfortable on your back, why lay on your back in a store?)

If not, spend the $$$ for a Serta Perfect Sleeper. They are really good.

I always wanted to try one of those tempurpedic mattresses myself so we stayed in a hotel that had them I tossed and turned all night and did not sleep at all!
So I emphasize with you!
I have sleep apnea so have to sit up to sleep..
so sleep now on my couch that has relines on it...
That was ok at first but now it is starting to hurt because a couch don't have enough stuffing to keep a person comfortable...
I am thinking about the investing in one of those adjustable beds they come with various mattresses...
I bought a Serta and it was so comfortable!
it was one with the extra padding on it on both sides and it was wonderful!
But have to sell it with my king water bed that I bought it for it wouldn't fit in my bedroom when I moved so it has to go....

I'd get rid of my husband before I got rid of my Temperpedic. It's wonderful. I can hardly go to a hotel any more.

If you toss and turn a lot, tempurpedic is the way to go! Your husband won't even feel you turn over!

It takes about a week to get used to sleeping on the tempurpedic, but once you get used to it, you'll hate any other bed!
