He is 17 and had mild autism. Any ideas? He will be getting a job next semester but he is driving me nuts wanting to make money right now. So go work at McDonalds is not an option yet.

A lot of our local grocery stores have disabled people bagging groceries. What about that? If that's not an option yet, then maybe he could rake leaves or shovel snow for neighbors.

Good luck, I know it must be difficult.

he can mow lawns, wash cars, he can volunteer at a hospital, and there is this world of work program in school it gives students some experience on what it will be like in the real world. i been in that class my first year i worked at a hardware store and worked hard and at the end of the year they kindly paid me 25 dollars for all the hardwork i did that year. but students dont get paid at all but they paid me for what i did.plus i helped people carry their stuff to their cars, i got tipped once.

maybe household chores around the neighborhood. busing tables at a restaurant or diner. or maybe working at the local SPCA taking care of the animals. That would be volunteer work though.
