She is 6 yrs old and I didn't go through terrible 2's or worst 3's.But its like here recently she has been very disrespectful and a child that is hard to control.Example:I say alright time for bed and at first its a fight but then she will go and hmmm and play with her hair til like 12 midnight. Then in the mornings she is horrible to deal with.I punish her all the time,it seems everything I do isn't working, any suggestions?

When she comes home for school tell her this is what we are going to do today!Tell her you can do homework/study then we will play for awhile, eat supper than its time to take a bath and get ready for bed!Try getting started in bed at least 1 1/2 hours before her reg. bedtime.Let her know until she is ready to go to bed when she is asked to and not when she is ready she can stay up a little longer.I'm sure this will work!Good luck!

She should be tired at 6 as she is in school so maybe you should establish a good routine. After her meal, she has a bath, let her play for a little while, bubbles, get some educational water toys, water spouts, boats, measuring cups, how many little ones does it take to fill a big one, that sort of thing, and play with her, make it fun for her, then snuggle her into bed with a book, read to her, talk about the story and let her know that when the lights are out , they stay out and she stays in bed. Some kids are ready to put themselves to bed at 6; she obviously isn't so she needs guidance

When you punish her, and you remaining steadfast in your disciplinarian tactics? Do you punish her for only 20-30 minutes, and then let her get her way? It sounds as if she is used to getting her way, and she is exhibiting behavior that indicates that she does not have expectations of being truly disciplined. As she expects that the punishment may last a little while, but she know later that she will be rewarded. Hope that you are being consistent!

Watch Supernanny or Nanny 911 or whatever those shows are. Sounds stupid, I know, but they DO have some really, really good tactics. Maybe they have a website you can look at.

I think that maybe u should do extra activities so that she will be tired by bed time. Reward her for the good things she does. Maybe she will realize that u get rewarded for acting right.
