I am Jewish, and an Independent. This last election I voted almost completely Democratic, as the Republicans, and their Evangelicals scare me, very much. They have been trying to change our laws and Constitution to follow their own beliefs.

I hit a middle of the road attitude on where I stand, on most things.

I also voted against the Republicans (more than for the Democrats) as I felt Bush and Rumsfeldt had make a complete fiasco out of Afghanistan and Iraq. They should have gone into Iraq with enough men to take Saddam out and be in and out of the country as to not have so many soldiers and Iraqi citizens die. They are the cause of the civil war there now.

I've been registered as a Republican for years (in a desperate continuing attempt to help get more moderates on the tickets; it ain't working!), but consider myself to be an independent when voting---don't vote any particular party line.

Conservative in terms of fiscal/financial matters, quite liberal in terms of social policies----and my votes reflect this, which can make it very interesting trying to decide on best overall choice. I WILL litmus-test, and vote against anyone who is anti-choice.

Religious affiliation? Currently a happy Goddess-worshipping Pagan (raised as Lutheran, Missouri Synod).

I am not affiliated with any political party and I split the middle between true conservatives (not this new breed of neocon fanatics that have popped up) and liberals.

The same can be said for my beliefs........I take what works and makes sense from every philosophy and religion I study, discarding or refining the rest.

Yes, I am American. I have no party affiliation, but I identify more with the Republicans. I am a moderate conservative, and a Christian.

I'm an America, I follow no parties, I vote by person and issue not by the name on the candidate or issue. I tend to vote very liberally on most issues. There are a few issues where I'm on the conservative side. I'm a Christian.

I would probably be labeled under Evangelical Christian. I am not registered but I consider myself independant and will register that way. I tend to swing a little to the left lately but I don't like the idea of abortion, for example. BUT! I am not one of those people who will stomp all over you for getting one and call it an attempt to help you. If you really want to help someone you'll show concern...not disgust or hatred.
