In a lot of ways, you're restricted by your metabolism. Some people tend to be fat and have an extremely hard time losing weight; some are the opposite. Age is also a factor. If you're a teenager, your metabolism is much faster than it will be in 10 years. In other words diet can only do so much. You also have to bear in mind that any modifications to your diet have to be more or less permanent to maintain any results you get. So you have to choose a diet you can make part of your lifestyle.
I drink a protein supplement called Muscle Milk, eat balanced meals, and work out every day. I also take creatine. I also tend to be lean but I'm in great shape. Creatine and protein supplements will help you gain muscle weight if you use them in conjunction with a good workout.
Talk to a trainer and nutritionist if you really want the tailored dope on what to do.

Going through high school I was 6/4 150lbs I wanted to look thick and gain muscle. My football coach got me on a program that is so simple. In the morning I had a shake (strawberry) not that it matters milk and ice cream. What ever you flavor. At night I had a shake same thing. I concentrated on low rep 5-8 reps high weight. Use a spotter don't hurt yourself. With in 6 months I gained about 20 lbs. I would not say it was all muscle but it was what i wanted. It might work for you. Give it a try see what happens.

As an amateur weighlifter, I will give you methods which I myself found useful :-
1) Consume at least 2 bananas a day
2) Indulge in moderate weight training 3 times a week and take protein supplements
3) Quit smoking (if you do)
4) Take muscle drinks which are commercially available
5) Take grams (or almonds) soaked in water overnight on a daily basis
..... Just wait patiently, don't expect miracles!! You'll see the results after 30 days or so.

I hate you!!! No, seriously, I was just like you when I was younger. The only thing that gave me a physique was my Adams Apple. Through experience.....
The only way to properly gain weight is through weight training (always work both sides of a joint - flexion & extension) and a proper diet. If you don't use the calories you put into your body, they will simply turn into fat. You don't want that. Also, you don't want to bulk up too much, and don't forget to streach out. Always remember, there are different body types. It is not a "One type fits all" scenario.
Believe me, one day you will look back on these "hard to gain weight" days and wish you were still living them.

disgusting.
Not only that but DANGEROUS.
You should not be eating that many eggs alone!!
Do you want to put on weight sensibly or do you want to coat your arteries?
Go and see a nutritionist and stop being so silly with the type of food you're eating, or at least how much.
PS- I'll edit with the amount of cholesterol in one egg. I can't remember the exact wording, but know that the recommended level is no more than 3 eggs per week and im sure 1 egg puts your cholesterol over the daily limit

First if you like the way you look keep it, but if you want to gain weight you should try muscle drinks, for example find a gym with a protein bar in it so before you train you could buy a shake and and after you train you could get anothe one. Also you dont want to burn too many calories if you are trying to gain weight
