This is the second time round for both and the skit needs to be tasteful.

I don't understand what you mean. Why are you wanting to do a skit? That seems a little odd to me

Are you sure that a skit is the best way to go? Because to me, "skit" doesn't scream "tasteful reception entertainment." However, if the bride herself requested a skit, then I guess you'd better comply with her wishes. Maybe you could leave out that whole "second time around" aspect and focus on something funny (but not hurtful) about the bride and groom's personality traits? Is she being a bit of a Bridezilla? Is he known for being a terrible dancer? As long as there's something about them that they are good-natured about being kidded about, you should work that in. Or, if you do want to mention it is their second time around (for some unfathomable reason), if they have kids, you can make the skit a take-off on The Brady Bunch- like you could have a prop with a bunch of squares that everyone sticks their head in and waves it about like on the beginning of the show (you know what I mean...) If at all possible, try to talk the happy couple out of a skit and into something a bit more highbrow, like a slideshow with meaningful pictures of them in it.

Wedding receptions are no places for a skit - the risk for a social gaffe is far too high.

Can the idea and just have a nice party.

Please don't do it. It's embarrassing for guests to have to sit through a "skit." This belongs in a high school talent contest, not a wedding reception.

Your wedding reception is not a time for comedy and anecdotes.

Why? As a wedding and event planner, I have to ask why? About what? Why?
