I don't think there is really any way to count this and it depends on what you consider a religion. For example, is atheism a religion? Also, people that are not atheists but do not believe in a higher power, etc. It just depends on what you think of as a religion.

Too many to list (though someone will try). Consider that there are 22 major world religions, each with it's own branches. Christianity alone has several dozen sects. There may be as many as 100 or more tribal religions practiced in Africa, and an equal number among tribes of the South Pacific.

And new religions are born every day. I've heard a a recent movement to create a Jedi religion, based on the fictional works of George Lucas.

Many, Many, Many religions. There are far too many to count.

You might be able to group similiar ones together. I would still says that there are well over 100 general groups of religions. That would be counting all Christians as one group, Jews as one group, and Muslims as one group.

.To me , it is not the quantity that matters, quality is the most important in choosing a religion. Knowing how to differentiate
between man made and God's religion. Needless to say, God , the creator knows better than anybody else regarding us (the creation) each and every commandment is to guide us towards
good in order to reach the eternal life after death
