Many cemeteries are using Mausoleums now-------saves space as you can build on top of each other. It is no more well preserved than a ground burial in a coffin and vault.

In most you dry out and become sort of a mummy. There are not a ton of preservatives, so it isn't perfect and probably won't last forever, but it does last a while.

What do you really care? You are still going to be dead.
