Well, that would depend on how much stock you take in Chaos Theory and The Butterfly Effect. Bottom line?

As Newton stated, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. So to answer your question, the extent of world balance would depend on the action itself. Consequently, all of us must consider the positive or negative effects of our actions. You might not know the result of your actions immediately, but in time they can come back and either bite you on the bum or result in something joyous. Example? Something on a large scale?

The Dems took the Senate and the House of Representatives. Rumsfeld resigned.

Maybe our world can now begin to moves towards a semblance of sanity.

If I wash the dishes before throwing a load of clothes in the washer, it will not impact a family in India that is contempating moving to Bangalore. It will not impact my neighbor.

A butterfly's wings impact the butterfly. Maybe the flower, a bit. But that's all.

The world, zero. My immediate surroundings, a little.

I know that in a minute, I will have to feed my daughter cereal and a bottle. I know that after she eats, she will take a nap. That's about it. Her napping doesn't do anything to anyone outside this house.
