I could imagine a carnivorous turkey with huge teeth like a lion in its beak! Now imagine thousands of them in the wild. One is right outside your home and lying in wait for you so it can pounce on you when you least expect it. Turkeys like this would be kinda scary, huh? It also doesn't help that turkeys say, "gobble-gobble." You can't help but get hungry when they say that.

there is a thing called a food chain. humans are at the TOP of the food chain. that means humans eat animals and plants, animals eat each other and plants, and plants eat the energy produced by the sun. so animals do not eat humans , we eat them. that is why turkeys don't eat humans. (also that is not their nature.)
