I want to make baked potatoes, but don't want to wait hours. If I start them in the microwave, how long do I set it for and how long do I finish them in the oven?

Instead of putting them in the microwave, par boil them for about ten to fifteen minutes. That's how the resturants do it. Good Luck

I bake 4 average size potatoes in the microwave for about 6 minutes, then I brush them with oil. Put them on a pan with a rack in oven until their done...maybe 30 minutes. I like the outside crispy.

My microwave has where it does for bake potatoes, after that I put it on a cookies sheet with my chicken or pork chops and bake at 400 degrees for 20-24 minutes. and they always taste like they were done in the oven.

Depending on the size of the potatoes, I put 2 in the micro for 8 minutes, then in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes (make certain that you wrap them in aluminum foil with a pat of butter, or some olive oil before putting them in the oven).

I microwave them on high for 6 minutes and then continue to bake them in the oven for 15-30 minutes.

If it is an average sized russet, then between 15-25 minutes in your nuker on high should do the trick. No need to put in the oven there after. Depends on your microwave, does it have an automatic turning tray inside? The time increases for each additional potato you add to the tray.

Its according to the size. I put them on for 5 minutes then check them and if I need to add more time as needed. you don't finish them in the oven
