microsoft have developed a new windows should we support microsoft for them to make more $$$$? let us know.

I seriously doubt I'll upgrade to Vista. From what I've read so far it's no big improvement and (you better sit down for this) if your system crashes you will not be able to re-install VISTA. You'll have to buy a new copy to install. I can't say how how accurate that info is but I think it's worth mentioning just in case. I'm migrating over to Linux.

if you have a certain version of windows you'll get the free upgrade to vista. I think the most you'll have to dish out is $80 if you have the base version of windows. but what the hell, they're already a multibillion dollar industry. besides they are probably going to come out with a new operating system shortly after. I heard that linux and windows are sharing source codes for future developement/compatability

Probably, eventually. I'l wait until its been out a while and they've got all the major bugs worked out. Maybe next year or so.

i wouldnt ive done the evaluation and am thinking of going back to linux

i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole ......i suggest waiting till all the "bugs " and problems are sorted out first .....there will be some !!!
