Yes and no...in recipes you can't because the sugar content of the ice cream could very easily throw off the amount of sugar needed for the whole recipe. The same is true of the vanilla flavouring in it. There'd be no way to know if you're putting in too much or too little unless you don't mind trial and error. Also it might not produce a good result when cooked.

Unless you're using natural ice cream, you're also adding chemicals and additives to the recipe along with the ice cream that wouldn't be there with plain milk.

However, if you want to put melted vanilla ice cream on something after it's cooked or baked (though I can't imagine why you'd want to use melted ice scream instead of frozen) there's no problem with this though it may make already sweet things too sweet.

One great use for vanilla ice cream is as a coffee creamer (we started using it for this purpose when we found ourselves out of milk one day). Just put in a tablespoon full or two.

Milk would be too thin and saturate your flour based products to the point of mush. You could use heavy cream flavored with a TINY bit of vanilla and some powdered sugar to thicken it, but only in small quantities. Add it as you eat, don't try topping the whole thing at once or the second half will be a mess by the time you work your way across the plate :)

No, Ice cream is not just frozen milk sugar and vanilla. It also has a lot of egg yolks in it. So you would have to account for the amount of extra egg in your recipe. By the way, an average half gallon of good ice cream has anywhere from 4 to 6 egg yolks.

First, learn how to spell. Is that how you speak? I have never heard of using vanilla ice cream in place of milk. There is no eggs in milk, so there is going to be some taste difference. There is no way that is going to work, but you can give a try.

Since it is made from milk I think it would be just fine to use. I usually add some vanilla to pancakes and such anyway and it is very good. I also sometimes (if I'm out of milk) mix hot water and coffee creamer to make "milk" for recipes and it works just fine.

I'm really not sure whether you can substitute this for milk, but it would make food extremely fattening!
