I have a red, painful, swollen, lump on the inside of my right butt cheek. It doesn't seem to have a head, but I know that boils eventually come to a head. I have had this for 2 weeks now. My mom and my best friend said it sounds and looks like a boil to them. It hurts to walk and it hurts to sit, if I don't sit on it just right??? PLEASE HELP!!!

A boil is a staph infection under the skin. The best thing for a boil is tea tree oil as it is especially toxic to staph. Go to a health food store and get a bottle and apply it undiluted several times a day. You may even want to soak a band-aid with the oil and leave it on for a day or so. I do this all the time - works wonders!.The boil won't always come to a head, an ingrown hair usually will. It will start to feel better within hours and will usually clear up in a couple of days. If it doesn't then go see a doctor.

Ouch! Sounds like a boil, you could try putting a really warm washcloth on the area several times a day. Another thing that works well is a product called Boil-Ease. It works great to ease the pain and usually brings the boil to a head within a day. If you continue to have the pain see your dr.

Yes sounds like a cyst or a boil, See a physician and they can lance it for you. Don't wait forever they can grow very large and be very uncomfortable

my son had a boil there and it required lancing by a dr. see a dr.
