I hear of people wanting to get tattoos all the time. It's a permanent mark on your body. What happens if the tattoo artist is drunk and tatoos the word "MIME" on your arm instead of "MOM"? Do you have any good botched tattoo stories?

I have a Tattoo On my Bicep that is Supposed to say Smooth Mo B. It was a College thing don't ask. : ) But as it turns out the Tattoo Artist was a a big fan of The Green Pipe Tobacco. And my Tattoo now reads Smooch Mob. I can't even begin to tell you how many time I've had to Explain to people the it's Not supposed to say that. Then I have to Explain the Smooth Mo B thing, It's just easier to stop wearing sleeveless shirts.

We're aware of what tattoos are. It is the tattoo section.

Unfortunately, some artists can do this. of course not every tattoo artist is high quality, BUT this mostly happens with scratches, or porfessionals doing it at home.

Any good/respectable artist will not even go toallowed to go to work if they are inebriated, let alone tattoo while so. There are so many things wrong with that. If you suspect that the artist is drunk do NOT go through with the tattoo, and do NOT ever return to that shop, again. You could also talk to their manager about it. That is very illegal, that the artist was going to work while under an influence.

And you approve the speling on the stencil before they put it on happening, so unless they were free handing, they would have a hard time messing up that badly, unless they were trashed, and if they were that trashed, shame on you for not walking out.

No, I don't have any, but I have seen many that have messed up. I'm a bit pickier with my artists than most people are..

I personally don't have a tattoo nor have any desire for one, but I do have a funny story about my friend. She got a tattoo on her toe in some shady back room somewhere. Whether or not the tattoo artist botched it we will never know, because she was inebriated at the time and put her tight shoe on her foot immediately after. She said it looked good at the parlor (of course her judgment could have been impaired), but now instead of the pretty flower she thought she would have, she has a red, black and green blob on her toe.

It was with a friend. She wanted a very large butterfly, and picked one off the studio wall. I had bought some Elma cream, imported from Turkey through a Canadian pharmacy, to help her with the pain. When I showed her the three tubes of cream, she grabbed one, and before I could stop her, she had squeezed out half the tube onto her upper leg. These are the big tubes, $28.00 apiece. Then we waited an hour. She kept insisting she could still feel. I removed the barrier film and touched her with the machine. I told her, you feel the vibration, not pain. We started on the tattoo. twenty minutes into it, she said it hurt too bad. So we ended the session. On two more sittings, two weeks apart, this scenario was repeated. I'll never tattoo her again. But she likes her tattoo, and we're still friends. But that's one reason I don't use Elma anymore, except for emergencies.

I was discussing this with a friend today. In one of his tattoos, it is supposed to look like his skin is being ripped by a tiger. Instead, it looks like flames around the tiger.

Mine haven't been botched per say. I just wish they were a little more...centered.

A true professional would never botch a tattoo like that and would never work under the influence of any drug or substance.

If you suspect the artist, piercer, whomever is unable to do their job correctly and safely, then leave and never go back.

I only know what I have experienced. I have a great tattoo on my butt. I get a lot of compliments on it.

No I didn't. I think MIMI would be hysterical, but probably not so funny to that person, who had it done on them.
