in late september i had a physical fight with someone, ever since then my neck has been hurting contstantly, i mean everyday with no relief. i take otc pain meds but those have not helped. why would my neck still hurt almost two months later? i have made an appointment with my primary doc. i dont have a fever or feel sick but i do have mild headaches daily. any insight is appreciated.

it's not unusual for neck pain to last for months!

(experience talking....sore, slightly torn & bruised muscles)

try hot! showers
sleeping w/no pillows
consciously relaxing shoulders
massage (self, or by others)
mild! flexing, to prevent stiffness
eat protein
drink h2o & oj

try to stop worrying...it'll repair itself over time

g'luck

Sounds like you might have over extended your muscles in the ruffle. Or you could have a pinched nerve in your neck. I would see a chiropractor. And get an ajustment.

You probably slipped a disk. Better get it checked out soon so it doesnt cause further damage.
