if your building the ultralight Spruce and Specialty has generic data plates that you can enter your information on. If your looking for a data plate from a destroyed ultralight they are probably available the same as any other aircraft. Try a few aircraft salvage yards or place an wanted ad in one of the ultralight magazines.

There are a couple of different places I would suggest to look to find the data plate:
1 - EAA is a great organization for experimental aircraft (ultralights, homebuilts, etc...) they have a great website that you can try to either find one or contact someone who could definitely point you in right direction.

2. Try to pickup up a Trade-a-Plane, that newspaper has everything in it that is for sale regarding aircraft. You can usually find those at your local airport or pilot shop
