well, no i have never gone out with anyone, but if i did, i would tell them because you have to be honest, with the guy. he'll hate you more if he finds that you were lying to him. tell it to him in a sweet, calm voice. apologize. be nice. . . . and honest

good luck!!

First off, does each of you have the understanding that you can see other people while dating. If so, no problem, he doesn't need to know. If not, you need to come clean. Tell him that you still feel the need to date around and get to know more people in life.

If he can live with that, fine, but be prepared for some anger and heat coming from him. I would be pissed.

Don't hide cheating in life. It will only get you into trouble when you get married or live together, it sets up a bad habit.

If you think the other relationship is going somewhere you may want to come clean. There's a reason that people cheat. I don't know what your reason may be, but if it's good enough you may consider getting out of the relationship all togther.

I cheated on my first husband 2 or 3 times. Being with others really meant nothing to me except that I wasn't with him. It turns out that I didn't like him very much. It was sad, but true.

You should evaluate your situation and then decide what you want to do.

If I'm trying to hurt the guys feelings or release my guilt for having cheated, then yes I'd tell him. I think it would be a pretty crappy thing to do. At that point, it's all about making yourself feel better and has nothing at all to do with the other person.

If I'm dating someone and am cheating on him, and I know my feelings for the person I'm dating won't improve, I would just end the relationship. It's wrong to engage someone in a relationship where you know it's not going to work.

If they wanted to know why, and they were going to find out from someone else, I would be as honest and kind as I possibly could. I wouldn't feed them all the gory details because it would just leave them wanting more and that's not good for anyone. I would have to take my lumps and be accountable for my actions and how they impacted others.

I have been in love with someone who cheated on me and didn't feel the same as I did. I knew he was cheating, but refused to accept it. As harsh as it would have been, I would have preferred that he had been honest with me. Had he said, "I know you love me, but I don't feel the same. I've been with someone else. I'm breaking up with you because it's what's best for both of us. My feelings for you won't change, I'm sorry." I would have been crushed, but I would have never accused him of leading me on.

Yes I would tell someone I am dating if I have cheated or not (if they ask). Because I believe in the truth.

Honesty is the best policy. Lies creats distrust and sometimes hate.

If you are currently cheating on someone else you should let the other party know. If you have cheated in the past, that's not his business.

I wouldn't cheat. If Im not into that person anymore then I would just be honest and let them know that Im not happy and dump him.

...and I totally agree with Lawana C...lies do create distrust in hate

If youve just got with someone i wouldnt tell them youve cheated in the past cos it may come back and haunt you ie theyll use it against you, and if you are cheating on someone, why? sometimes somethings are just to good too resist just dont do it close to home i guess!

i wouldn't cheat specifically so this situation would never come up

the only way that conversation would end is me at the emergency room asking the doctor if they can sew my johnson back on
