I'm on a weight-loss programme. And this radical departure from my usual lunch of rice and meat, or salad, (with too much mayo/cream) has been scrapped for this one. Am I going ok? Please advise. Thanks!!

brown bread is good because there is less glucose(-sugar) than in white bread & white rice, u should also try brown rice along with your brown bread for your diet. im not saying u should mix the 2; eating each can fufill your hunger & be of more help on your weight loss at the same time. eggs & sardine have protein (becareful of the cooking oil, use olive oil,) "fresh" tomatoes & cheese(protein) are great... ofcourse mixing food is ok, but make sure u dont get rid of the necessary nutrients in your food by combining it with another, meaning even tho mixing foods sometimes taste good, u still have to be aware of whether they really go together nutrient-wise or not.

Not too healthy. Wheat bread is the best kind of bread to eat but you need to cut out the bread all together. Sardines are nasty but if you like them that's cool. Sardines are also packed in tons of sodium if they are canned, so make sure you have fresh sardines. Also you should only be eating egg whites because the yolk is packed in fat. So honestly, no, it does not sound that healthy. Try eating some veggies, egg yolks and/or fresh chicken, fish or turkey.

Cheese is high in calories so, try to limit your consumption. Eggs and sardine, while both good for you are very high in cholestorol. When I want to lose weight, I go Mostly vegetarian, a little bit of chicken and fish, on occasion, and Almost eliminate red meat, no junk foods (chips, etc.) I excersize for 1 hour daily and by doing this, I was able to lose 65 lbs. in 6 months. To stay on this diet, I treat myself once a week (for a job well done) by having only one serving of my favorite type of dessert. (A hot fudge sundae, small piece of chocolate cake, or pretty much any thing else with chocolate in it). Good luck :)

Sounds like it's healthy. You should try salad dressing or light mayo and beware of the sodium content in the sardines (it can make you retain water and thus hinder weight loss).

As long as you don't slather it with a ton of mayo, and stuff it with greasy potato chips, then it sounds healthy. Just pay attention to portion sizes. You might eat 1/2 now and save the other half for a snack later.

I say loose the cheese and your A-OK, watch the egg too-eat it in moderation and you should do fine. Make sure you rinse the sardines of the oil they have been packaged in, there are lots of hidden calories in that oil! Good Luck to you!

it sounds ok, except the sardines...they are gross...seriously, though, light chunk tuna is really healthy and tastes great for lunch.
