True Christianity is not a commitment; it is far more: It is dedication.
The Christian puts his service to God in first place; everything else is subordinate.
Matthew 6:33 says “Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you."
It was speaking the things mentioned just prior to this.

By and large, through my 40 odd years of observation, christianity as a whole is a big farce. Very few people actually live christian lives, most use the church as a social event and gathering place, act holy on sunday, then cheat, lie and steal the rest of the week.

The divorce rate in the USA is over 50%. The overwhelming majority are Christian, and only a handful are for abuse or infidelity.
Christians have forgotten what commitment means.
