This is for people that use Ad-Aware SE personal Adware removal sofware, does anyone know the reason why mine might stop in the middle of a Full System Scan without any reason that I can find? Please help me if you can, the Smart Scan works, but I know that not really enough to keep my computer clean.

Uninstall and reinstall. If that dosent work then just uninstall it and get a new spyware remover. Spybot is a pretty good one and its free aswell, you can get it from www.download.com.

First, I've noticed that on larger or more complex files Ad-Aware seems to 'freeze' but continues after several minutes. I usually run it overnight. If that isn't the problem, I would run it at least 3 times to see what file it stops on. If it is the same file each time, it might be that file not Ad-Aware. If the freeze location is more random, I would uninstall & reinstall.
But if it sticks on the same file or doesn't work after reinstalling, try another program.

Chances are that you might have either have your screen-saver starting while the scan process is on.. or maybe your anti-virus is clashing with the adaware.. log off the net, turn off your screensaver and the antivirus.. now try to scan with adaware.. it should work.. remember.. any tasks running in the background confuses these scanning softwares

If it stops i would think it's corrupted or found a bunch of stuff. See if you can uninstall and reinstall it. If not just let it sit for a while and see if it starts back up again. It may have found something good!
